Historic Sermon Of Zyenab (S.A) Bint E Ali (A.S) In Syria

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Allah’s blessing be upon His Messenger Muhammad and his entire progeny. True are the words of Allah, who says, “Then the end of those who committed evil was that they disbelieved in Allah’s signs and they were ridiculing them.” (30:10)

Do you, Yazid, think that – when you blocked all our avenues of the earth and the horizons of the heavens before us, so we were driven as captives – that we are worthless in the eyes of Allah and that you are respectful in His eyes? Or is it because you enjoy with Him a great status? So, you look down at us and become arrogant, elated, when you see the world submissive to you and things are done as you want them, and when our authority and power became all yours?
But wait! Have you forgotten that Allah said, “Do not regard those who disbelieved that we grant them good for themselves? We only give them a respite so that they may increase their sins, and for them there is a humiliating torment.” (3:178)
Is it fair, O son of the “Released Ones” that you keep your ladies and bond maidens in their chambers (under protection), and at the same time you drive the daughters of the Messenger of Allah as captives with their veils removed and faces exposed, taken by their enemies from one land to another, being viewed by those at watering places as well as those who man your forts, with their faces exposed to the looks of everyone – near or distant, lowly or honourable, having none of their men with them nor any of their protectors?
But what can be expected from one descended from those whose mouths chewed the liver of the purified ones and whose flesh grows out of the blood of the martyrs? How can it be expected that one who looks at us with grudge and animosity, with hatred and malice, would not hate us – the Ahlul Bayt? Besides, you, without feeling any guilt or weighing heavily what you recite saying, They would have been very much delighted, Then they’d have said, “May your hands, O Yazid, never be paralyzed.”
How dare you hit the lips of Abu Abdillah (A.S.), the Master of the Youths of Paradise? But why should you not do so, since you stirred a wound that almost healed, and since all mercy is removed from your hear, having shed the blood of the offspring of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny, and the stars on the earth from among the family of Abdul-Muttalib? Then you cite your mentors as if you speak to them. Soon shall you be lodged with them, and soon shall you wish you were paralyzed and muted and never said what you said nor what you did.
O Allah, take what belongs to us out of his hands, seek revenge against those who oppressed us, and let Your wrath descend upon whoever shed our blood and killed our protectors! By Allah, you have burnt only our skin, you have cut only our flesh, and you shall com face to face with the Messenger of Allah, peace of Allah be upon him and his progeny, bearing the burdens of the blood which you have shed, the blood of his offspring, and of his sanctities which you violated, when Allah gathers them together and seeks equality on their behalf.
“And do not reckon those who are slain in the way of Allah as dead. Nay! They are living with their Lord, receiving their sustenance.” (3:169)
It is quite sufficient that Allah is your judge and Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon his progeny, is your opponent and (Archangel) Jibraeel as the supporter (of Muhammad). All those who instigated you to do what you did and all those who put you in charge due to which you are a playing havoc with the lives of the Muslims will know for certain how evil the end of the oppressors is and which of you shall have the worst place and will be the least protected?
Although calamities have forced me to speak to you, I see you trivial in my eyes and find your verbal attacks great and regard your rebukes too much to bear, but the eyes are tearful, and the chests are filled with depression. What is even stranger is that the honoured Party of Allah is being killed by the Party of the “Released Ones” – Party of Shaytan. Such hands are dripping with our blood; such mouths are feeding on our flesh, while those sacred and pure corpses are offered as food to the wild beasts of the desert and are dirtied by the brutes. If you regard us as your booty, you shall soon find us as your opponents -that will be when you find nothing but what your hands had committed.
“And your Lord never treats His servants unjustly.” (41:46)
To Allah is my complaint, and upon Him do I rely.
So scheme whatever you wish to scheme, and carry out your plots, and intensify your efforts, for, by Allah, you shall never be able to obliterate our mention, nor will you ever be able to kill the revelation (that was revealed to us), nor will you ever exalt our position, nor will your shame ever be washed away. Your view shall be proven futile, your days limited in number, and your wealth wasted on the Day when the caller calls out,
“The curse of Allah be upon the oppressors.” (11:18)
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, who sealed the life of our early ones with happiness and forgiveness, and that of our last ones with martyrdom and mercy. We plead to Allah to complete His rewards for them, grant them an increase, and recompense us pleasingly. He is the most Merciful, the most Compassionate, Allah suffices us, and He is the best Guardian

The Perfect Middle-Class Preoccupations

You know you are an average middle class Pakistani when:
1. The only route which can lead you to greatness and power is achieving knowledge and getting yourself a good professional degree because your parents donot have heaps of money in their bank accounts for you.
2. You have to wait for a calculated number of days before you can dine out because you cannot just go out for food whenevr you wish just because your budget does not allow you.
3. You are not just a child of your parents but you are also a parent of your younger siblings because you are the one who can fulfil their wishes by money which your parents cannot since they are not as educated as you.
4. Since you have no power of money, your parents divert you from this truth by telling you that God is the greatest power and He can bless you with all you want.
5. You have to do a one year or two year job so that you can collect money if you want to go abroad for higher studies.
6. You loose many battles of life to other people of your age because of lack of powerful sources.
7. You suffer a lot in your professional life because your parents are not professionals and you are the firts child in the house enrolled in a certain degree program and you learn everything from your own bad experiences and not from your parents who unlike other parents are not doctors or engineers.
8. You always have to waste hours on internet while looking around for some scholarships.
9. Aunties get attracted to you for their sons because of your academic background but turn away after knowing your family background.
10. Everyone at your home has tired eyes, and aged faces because everyone is struggling to make the family financially stable and better.

For If You Want To Live Your Life, You Gotta Drive The Train (Marv Harding)

I was recalling those years of my life when my weekend used to start on fridays. PTV used to telecast a drama in those days, Zaibunnisa directed by Saira Kazmi. I remember coming home from school and then going to a long sleep which used to end at the time of dusk. After maghrib prayers the entire family would sit together and watch Zaibunnisa and have the dinner. Gone are the peaceful days. Now the weekend comes and goes and you dont even realize the difference between weekend and weekdays. The one day weekend i.e Sunday passes away fast with the uncomfortable feeling of 'work next day'. Life has converted into a race where I run from one station to another, with my luggage. I have a destination in my mind but the route is long and tiring. I stop on every station, gather things from there for my journey which might be useful to make my destination prettier and more comfortable. The things I buy increase the weight of my bag. I tolerate the weight of the increased luggage in my bag on my shoulder with a thought that these things will help me in future and a bit of pain now will give good fruit in future. Well the journey continues. I stop and meet different people on every station. Some people giva a tough time and you want to leave the station and catch another train as soon as possible. Some people are so kind that you want to leave your train for them. But you cannot because they themselves are waiting for their train and as soon as their train arrives they will leave you and you might miss your own destination of you keep on sitting there with them. And some people are even more nice. They trust you so much and like you so much that they leave their all luggage there and then on station and decide to travel with you. They make your destination their own destination just because they love you and like you so much. I am not yet so lucky to have such a companion. But I do meet the second kind of people on every station. I talk to people I meet, ask them about their final destinations. Sometimes I just get amazed to find out that some people aim for such high five destinations. After listening to their journey style, I sometimes mould my own to make it more productive and pleasing. So this way my destination keeps on shifting a bit from the original one. But sometimes others' styles and destinations are really high five but worthy and when you investigate about their style of journey and the final cost till reaching the destination, you come to know its very expensive and you dont have enough money for it. This sometimes make me sad, I cry after talking to these people just because I dont have resources to afford their style of journey. And sometimes while crying I forget to put a check on my train and miss my train. I then have to spend some money to get a new ticket and then scold myself on wasting so many resources just because I was busy crying. But in all this mess I never forget about the things I am fond of, my passions and my aims.  I have missed many trains, fallen a lot of times while running for the train but always have found someone or the other who is kind enough to give me a hand so that I can stand up again. I have even experienced stealing. Yes people stealing things from my luggage with so much innocence. Stealing my ideas and my resources and presenting them with their own name infront of others to impress others and increase their own marks. However I am so much tired from the journey that I dont have energy to argue with them. I leave the decision for God then. So this is how the journey is till now. I am still travelling. There are a lot of passengers who make fun of me when they come to know about my destination which seems to be less possible to achieve. But I think something worth getting is not easy to achieve and you always have to work harder and tolerate a lot of burden on your head and a lot of pressure on your mind while you travel. I hope I achieve my destination sooner so that I can enjoy that position because the true fun of the feeling of joy will be more when you are still not aged .

The sadness builds, the pressure inside,
From cells long locked, the poison resides,
I feel like crying, no place left to hide,
Like the need to vomit but the body cant reply,
The pressure builds from deep inside,
In my throat, my head, from behind my eyes,
Somewhere deep within where the poison resides,
I want to experience the feeling of letting go,
Its what I need but my mind body and soul says no,
Even now my eyes well up wanting to comply,
But thats as far as it goes, I dont know the way,
A drop of my life, my poison spills out,
Like a guard in the prison, my mind seals the route,
It starts to return, deep inside it resides,
I am just too tired, too tired to try,
From darkness deep within, the sadness does win,
But the longing is still there, to release the poison within!

To Err Is Human, To Forgive Is Divine

Today, according to my usual routine I was going through the news feeds of my facebook when I found some really ......... pictures! I dont know what I should call it..maybe stupidity of people? or maybe people who have complex minds or puzzled concepts about Islam..Here you go!

Well I am not a very good Muslim. But is it not a useless talk whether to call God Allah or Allah Tala or Allah Mian? I think it all depends upon your 'Niyyat' which means what really is in your heart for your God.. If you call him 'Allah Tala' and you really think that you are giving Him a lot of respect by using this word for him, but still you are not doing what He has ordered you to do, then whats the use of giving Him respect through this name? Why are people going into so much complications as in looking for literal dictionary meaning for Mian!! There are a variety of languages in this world.. Everyone uses name for God according to their tongue..So this does not mean everyone is going to go to hell or is displeasing God because they called their God through some other name..I am not saying to call Allah as some of your relative but I really think 'Mian' and 'Tala' are both perfectly fine as long as you have His respect in your heart.
Have a look at the second picture (also from facebook).

Yes its true that 'Namaz' is the pillar of Islam and all those who donot fulfill this obligation will be thrown into Hell, no matter how good they are at other religious obligations. But I think its never the condition that God does not want you to stand infront of Him because you are a bad person. Infact He calls each and every person again and again. If some child misbehaves and does not listen to his mother, the mother would never want that child to get out of her sight. She would still wish that her child gets okay with his behaviour and will always accept the child's apology happily. God is equal to 70 mothers. How come He does not want His astray people to come back to Him? I am sure if someone performs some sin and on other day goes and stands on his 'musalla' or 'jaey namaz' for prayers, God would love him for this act but only at one condition that the person is really sorry and feels guilty for what he has done. How could He punish a person by taking the 'wish of prayer' out of that person's heart when He Himself emphasizes so much on prayers?

The above picture is also from facebook. So we see the good names of Allah i.e 'Rahmaan and Raheem' (the forgiving one). If God is so forgiving why do people not understand that these small matters as in by what name you call Him, donot matter. What really matters is what is present in your heart and not on your tongue. If you donot have good feelings about Him in your heart and you call Him with great respect from your tongue then you are a 'Munafiq' (hypocrite). Iam sure God hates the munafiq people.
Its a very wide discussion. I know many people would disagree with it and might have other thoughts. But this is what I think. To keep everything in your life including your religion simple. Islam is a simple religion. People just love to make it complicated. Many problems the Muslims are facing today is due to these complications made by themselves.

Sometimes By Losing A Battle You Find A New Way To Win The War

One advantage of our losses is that we create better roads leading us to our goals. If one really misses what he wanted and could not achieve it, then he would be determined to get it through some way or the other. One year back I was stuck in a similar situation. I lost a great opportunity. Probably the loss seemed to be bigger to me than it actually was because I trusted in God too much and not myself. Or maybe I had believed that opportunity to be my one and only final destination. And when I lost, I felt helpless because I had closed all the other doors just for that particular door. We should always set multiple options and tracks to reach our goals. Atleast one thing which I learned from the loss was that I started to create opportunities instead of finding them or waiting for God to grant me an opportunity. I know creating an opportunity does not really help because in the end everything is in the hands of God. But while I was trying to create opportunities for myself, I got polished, learned many other things and above all explored new routes and even new goals which seemed to be more important to me than the previous locked door of the missed opportunity. At some points I also realized that the new goals which I had explored were more beneficial, easily achievable and even more attractive. I still miss the the missed chance and the lost key for the locked door everyday. I wish I could have it but today my feeling of wish is less intense than it was last year, because I have found other major doors which can help me enter the world I have always wanted. Through this one year journey I have realized that I am turning into a self made person instead of my old version who used to depend on people and shortcuts for her dreams. Self-made people can always get benefits through their skills when and where ever needed. On the other hand dependent people looking for shortcuts, sometimes get successful and are able to anchor their ships to a rigid support but if the rigid support falls down sometime then there is no guarantee of the dependent ship.

Highly intellectual, this is a sign of fierce independence that prizes intuition tempered with logic.

Zindagi Gulzaar Hai?? Well Not For Everyone!

Kashaf Murtaza, an interesting character from another block buster drama serial of HUM TV, has been really striking to me lately as she represents majority of the girls of our society, the middle class girls, like me. I usually write reviews of Pakistani serials and not the individual characters but this character is so much symmetrical to me that I was forced to post about her on my blog. So lets brain storm the similarities between the author and Kashaf.
1. She is a huge pessimist like me!! She sees negative results of each and every thing in her life before the event even occurs. She sees all the people around her in a negative way except her family members.
2. She does not trust anyone in this world like the author. Moreover, she does not even trust her mother and sisters regarding her marital issues and marriage proposals.
3. She is a victim of the class differences set by the cruel society..but..
4. Inspite of all the class differences, she works very hard among the high class people to fulfill her needs and wants...but..
5. She hesitates working with these high class people and avoids them and hesitates when she is with them. She avoids disclosing her identity infront of these people with the fear that they might make fun of her middle class standards and life style. Well the author is not so conscious but yes a little.
6. She is ambitious and has a strong will power and she would spend thousands of sleepless nights working hard to achieve her dreams. Her self esteem and self respect donot allow her to ask for any favor from anyone.
7. Her ego is really strong and she would never ever kneel in front of anyone.
8. She is a sourceless girl which means she is not the daughter of some wealthy and rich parents, who in our society, can buy her dreams using their money and for this reason she has to work really hard.
9. She is ofcourse not happy with the unfair system of the society. She hates classy people who can buy themselves big achievements just because their fathers are on some really good source or they have got loads of money in their bank accounts.
10. She is always blaming God for all the hardships of her life. And her way of complaining is so similar to that of the author!
11. She loves blogging like me. Well she does not have a blog but she has a simple diary in which she can mention all her feelings. But she mentions everything openly and directly unlike me.
12. She is a rude, egoistic person but once you get friendly with her you discover that she is your most sincere friend. And is you tease her even a bit, she becomes your worst enemy.
Well Kahsaf's life is getting better day by day with every episode of "Zindagi Gulzar Hai". She has come out of the rags and is now leading a comfortable life. Her hardwork has bought her all the comforts of life. She is a respectable government officer now. Her family is happy and she is happy and gradually she is converting herself from a rude, egoistic and complaining person to a soft and grateful person just because she is starting to believe that all her dreams have finally come true.
But does this all happen in real life? There are thousands of girls in our society who resemble Kashaf some how or maybe fully but all of them donot achieve this happiness in the end inspite of all their hardwork. Many such girls donot achieve professional greatness, though they have also spent thousands of sleepless nights like Kashaf. They get to hear in the end that  "this is the reality of life and you wont get everything because you are from a middle class family so try to be grateful for what you have"...Many girls are unable to find a Prince Charles for themselves like Kahshaf found her's (Zaroon) and when they donot accept the ordinary proposals they get to hear "no miracle would happen for you..you are an ordinary girl with ordinary face and ordinary parents.why do you wait for some Prince Charles"
Where should these girls go and hit their heads??

Unanswered Questions

Is there any value of our hardwork in this life or everything is destined to be and planned by God already? If our hardwork really counts then has this not been planned by God already that we will work hard? God says in Holy Quran that he listens us..but does He only listen to our wishes and wants or He fulfills them as well? And if He fulfills what we ask for then everyone should be happy in this worl..but everyone is not happy! This means God only listens and does not fulfill all our wishes! So why are we supposed to ask him for what we want? Is it not useless to waste our time asking for things we wont get?? and this also means everything is pre planned before you are even born! So then why is praying to God so important? why is religion so important? for life here after?? is this the answer? are we following religion in this life to earn good points in life here after? so that we can earn a castle in heaven like our parents have been telling us and our grand and grand grand and great grand parents have been passing this message to their descendents?? So this means if we are good in religion in this world then we are going to have a good life here after and we shall not be burned in hell for the sins which we havent performed. But is it possible that a person passes his entire life without performing any sin? NO!! (if you talk about normal humans). So every person performs atleast a small sin in his or her life right? and for that sin he will have to answer on the day of judgement..and he will be punished for that sin accordingly..so if he will be punished for one sin then why does he spend his entire life trying his best to be good in religion? why does he has to follow the DOES and DONTS of his religion? he can not enjoy half of the world just because his religion does not allow him to enjoy that way!! why cant he simple enjoy in this world fully and then answer on the day of judgement for all the sins he has performed in this life? Atleat once he will be able to enjoy i.e in this world..on the other hand if he keeps on worrying about his religion in this world, he will miss half of the fun of this world and in life here after as well he wont be a position holder because as i mentioned no one is perfect and everyone has performed one or more sins for which he will be punished..this means he spent his entire worldly life worrying for his life hereafter and on the day of judgement as well he will suffer because of few of his sins that he might have performed in the world!! ASMAN SE GIRA KHAJOOR MEN ATKA!! i often feel betrayed by this religion talk..some of these as above are unanswered questions..i often feel everything is pre planned and we are just statues controlled by God and he enables us to do only what he wants..so why are we even alive?? HE could have used robots instead of humans! If God is equal to seven mothers why is 75% of the world so unhappy? people being killed in bomb blasts, men being slaughtered in their country, wrong ways preferred to rise higher in professional life, thousands of girls being raped daily? etc etc etc..we say not even a leaf can move by breeze if God doesnot want..then where is God now when all these tragedies and accidents are taking place? if whatever happens to  person has been earlier decided by God and is for the betterment of that person then how is it better for a girl to be raped? how is it better for kids to loose their father because he had been slaughtered by Taliban? how is it better for a person that he is suffering from cancer? how is it better for a person whose dead body is not found after bomb blast? if you say that difficult times come upon men because of their own sins then it is not wrong to say that all you achieve in this world is because of your own efforts and praying to God does not matter...and if you want to give credit of your achievements to God then also give him the credit of your hardships!

Running Back And Forth Between Grief And High Delight

There is an explainable term called "pyrexia/fever of unknown origin" in medicine, but "depression of unknown origin" might be a new term for many readers; a condition from which many people suffer. Although "suffer" is a harsh word here as this condition is not a state of disease. "Just not feeling happy or contented" or "being moody" is a short description of this condition which many people experience including the author of this post! Two mysteries are to be solved by the person experiencing this mysterious situation: first why is it happening and second what can be done to solve it. The first mystery remains unsolved for me. The second mystery is still way easier to solve as this moody behaviour sometimes is a characteristic feature of "sunday"..hmm..Sunday!! when this moody behaviour combines with the "university next day" feeling and hence the overall moody feeling is aggravated..so it gradually drains away as the week starts with its normal busy routine..or maybe this state of unknown depression is related to person's individual personality.Sometimes I wonder it happens to those people, who, like the author run after perfection, and get frustrated when they don't achieve it; people like the author who are not satisfied by what they have and always want to have more and better in everything. So Professor Moiz Hussain has described these people in one of his quotes. He says,

"Many people go from one thing to another searching for happiness, but with each new venture, they find themselves more confused and less happy until they discover that what they are searching for is inside themselves and what will make them happy is sharing their real selves with the ones they love"

And now this post is getting confusing like the author and has started to resemble a psychology lesson so I think I should end it here only.
Wishing everyone a busy and hectic week ahead ;)  <evil smile>
and I am jealous of all those people who can sleep in their beds all week and don't have to work!! But are there any such people on Earth??

Barbarism

We live in a country where people call others "kafir (non believer)" because that automatically makes them "momin (believer)"..This picture is a question for all such people calling other people kafir and killing them

There Is Light In The World, And It Is Us

.

The English word ’light’ is very very significant. It has two meanings: one is light, luminosity; another is weightlessness. Those two meanings don’t seem to be joined at all but they have a
subtle connection. When one becomes full of light, one becomes weightless; one can fly, one has wings.

Life Goes On

We so happily announce on our birthdays that we are this much old now...never thinking that one more year has been subtracted from our life...24 years certainly is a long period to live in this world..a long period to have struggled enough...but as I review my life,i feel that nothing has been done till now and so much has to be done yet..maybe its because of the changing ambitions and the changing goals as we grow older..there is still so much to be achieved..and as i think about the future, it seems like we will never achieve our goals and we will keep on struggling and working and never getting the happiness of achieving our destination and our goals..like Chris Gardner said in his book 'the persuit of happyness' that

"Maybe happiness is something that we can only persue and maybe we can actully never have it.No matter what!"

or maybe its because of the 'always wanting and ungrateful' nature of human beings that no matter how much they get, they will keep on struggling for more and more and higher and higher..but isnt that the beauty of life??to keep on working and struggling and getting better and perfect day by day..?? if we get contented today and satisfied by what we have, we will never struggle for better and we will never get better..
